Finished my assignment so I’m going to reward myself by actually showering and allowing myself to be presentable. Not that many are going to see me…just going to the coffeeshop to caffinate and read. Read and read. Lots of reading to catch up on. Oh boy.

So, before going out last night, I spent the afternoon at the Moms and Tots fair trying to recruit parents so that they can let us get our hands on their kids. Actually, we had quite a few parents sign up…they found the idea interesting. That’s helpful, but it’ll be even more helpful if they actually participate. And…there’s a lot of kids in Calgary. Wow.

I actually came on here to talk about something specific, but hanged if I know what that was. I’ll have to check back later if I remember.

Morning after…

Now…lemme see.

I’ve been out with friends…umm…twice? since January? Yup, I think that’s it. Twice. And the second time was last night.

My dear friend A came into town for some work party thing and invited me to come along. S was there…and later on I. All of them close and old friends. I was having a panic attack since I have due, before the 12th: an assignment (tomorrow), a paper I’ve barely started my reading on and I am having trouble with even that, my paper revision, a presentation of a paper I found to my lab, not to mention various other small things that keep popping up – like TA duties and stuff. Anyway…you get the idea, I was nervous to leave it behind. However, sometimes I forget the power of great and wonderful (and tolerant) friends that have known you through many phases of your life and know the people you know. I can not have contact with these people for weeks/months and then pick up right where we left off. That’s a rare and special thing, I think. It’s helped my mental state to talk without explanation because these people are on my page. I can hardly wait to start seeing them more often.
